Acting - The basics of acting and guidance with monologue technique, script analysis, character analysis, stage movement and improvisation with instruction from Kate Hall.
Repertoire Class (Singing) - New song material suitable for audition. Developing interpretation of different styles. Historical learning by composer, music theatre history and iconic musicals with instruction from Ian Westrip.
Dance – Learn a variety of dance styles within your capabilities, suitable to your level of dancing.
Performance - Participation in a performance is required during this course. Additional opportunities for group work or plays and musicals will arise and are optional but encouraged.
The senior course is available for ages 12 to 16 years
Acceptance for classes is after an interview and possible audition for musical for casting purposes.
The course runs for 18 weeks per semester
Classes are on Tuesdays, 4.30pm to 6.45pm, commencing on Tuesday 8th February 2022.
There are three 45-minute classes per week for Acting, Dancing and Singing.
Production rehearsals are on Saturdays 11am to 1pm.
There is an additional class on Sundays 2pm to 4pm for those who are involved with the Production Workshop.
On occasion there are extra rehearsals and performances that will be timetabled and notified.
All dates are in line with Education Department School Term dates with no classes on the last weekend of each term or long weekend holidays.
$1,544 per year including GST – 36 weeks
Fees are payable by the first class of each Semester.
There are various payment options accepted including credit card, see enrolment form for details.
Payment by class is not accepted.
Full fees are payable if students withdraw from the course for whatever reason. This includes the option of time payments.
Scholarships may be available for assistance with fees, please enquire.
Children joining the course during the year will be charged pro rata.
